Twenty-two brave volunteers were on Monday trained by ranks of the Guyana Fire Service. The areas covered in the training included rolling out of the delivery hose, priming and operating the auxiliary pump, finding the seat of a fire and extinguishing it. The training team was happy to report that the volunteers responded well to the training. These exercises will be continuous and will extend to other islands.
